Derrick White is the man of the hour in the NBA after he made a big shot in the final seconds of Game 6 between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.

Not only he is a menace on the offensive side, but he’s been doing a remarkable job guarding rivals. Stats show that he’s had a field day going against Trae Young, Tyrese Maxey, and Jimmy Butler, respectively.

Trae Young: 16/47 from the field (34%), 7 turnovers, 5 blocks.

Tyrese Maxey: 12/32 from the field (37.5%), 2 turnovers, 1 block.

Jimmy Butler: 12/31 from the field (38.7%), 1 turnover, 4 blocks.

White has been doing just fine against these players, and two of them have been eliminated from his team. They’re on the verge of sending Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat home, becoming the first team in NBA history to return from an 0-3 deficit.

Saturday night was magical for White and his team, as they tied the series three wins apiece, sending it back to Boston thanks to White’s heroics in the final moments of the match.

The guard grabbed a rebound off of Marcus Smart’s 3-point shot and made an incredible and dramatic basketball to secure the C’s’ third win of this series, forcing Game 7 against the Heat.

A lot has been said about this, with evidence showing the Celtics must have given less than 3 seconds on the clock and fans calling that out on social media. Still, the game is over now, and nobody can change the result.

Derrick White Made History In Game 6 Of Heat Series

White made history with this shot, emulating what Michael Jordan did back in 1989, making a buzzer-beater shot when his team faced elimination and trailed at the time of the shot.

The Celtics are inspired ahead of Game 7 and the situation can’t be better for them. If they win this game, they’ll win the series and send the Heat home for the second consecutive year, on the same day, in the same game.

We are set to see a big game where the Celtics and Heat will do everything to win, but only one of them will be able to face the Denver Nuggets in the Finals.
