After losing Game 6 in heartbreaking fashion, Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat stand on the verge of being the first team in NBA history to blow a 3-0 lead in the playoffs. With the fans and the city in full panic mode, many find it tough to believe the Heat will save their season in Boston for Game 7.

As for Jimmy Butler, he made a lot of promises following the bitter defeat. In fact, as he told the media on Saturday, his goal is to remain calm and even-keel despite the dire circumstances.

“I just missed shots. I just gotta make them. I’ve got to continually hit the open guy, stay aggressive, and continue to lead the way for our guys I’m gonna smile, I’m gonna go home and play some spades. I don’t care what nobody say. Everything going to be okay…”

The Heat were literally seconds away from securing a spot in the NBA Finals until Derrick White made a last-second layup at the buzzer. It’s now the third straight loss for the Heat, who have completely lost the momentum they built after going up early in the series.

Now, the Heat will have to battle for their season in a hostile environment against a team many consider to be better.

“When we huddle up after a game, after a tough loss like this one, everybody is smiling because we know what we’re capable of it,” said Jimmy. “I’m telling you. I’m not going to let anybody quit, I’m not going to let our guys quit. I don’t give a damn what happens, we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna win.”

Heat Could Face Massive Backlash If They Lose Game 7

As the 8th seed in the East and just a few minutes from losing in the play-in, it’s already a miracle for the Heat to be in this position. In all reality, they shouldn’t have gotten past the first round.

Nevertheless, thanks to Jimmy Butler and his supporting cast, the team has stepped up to shock the world. But if they fail to close the deal, and flame out now, it will be a collapse that follows the franchise for years to come.

No doubt, Butler knows what’s at stake for his legacy and it’s why we can expect him to be ultra-aggressive on Monday with the season on the line.
