The Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from the 2023 NBA playoffs following a brilliant performance from the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.

Anthony Davis wasn’t at his best in the series, but he dropped 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists in the Game 1 loss. Despite that, Davis was criticized by NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith. As a result, AD unfollowed the veteran analyst on Twitter. Now, with the series over, Smith pointed out that he doesn’t care about that.

“See y’all some slimy a***s.” Smith said. “Some of you people in the media out there. Even my contemporaries, my colleagues. I never talk about my colleagues ever. But some of y’all get on my damn nerves, and I sometimes I’ll be saying my stuff. You know what? I’m gonna use this platform, I’m just gonna get y’all a**.

“There was actually stories circulating, going viral. Anthony Davis unfollowed Stephen A. Respectfully, do I look like I give a s**t? If Anthony Davis is following me or not? Are you insane?”

Stephen A. Smith is one of the biggest media personalities out there. So, it’s no surprise that he doesn’t think twice before beefing with even the biggest superstars in the NBA.

Davis is usually not someone who gets into public feuds. Keeping that in mind, fans shouldn’t expect a response from the Unibrow after Smith’s comments.

Stephen A. Smith Called Out Anthony Davis’ Injury Scare In The Playoffs

Anthony Davis has always been injury prone, and it has somewhat held him back from reaching his true potential. This season, AD was healthy for the second half, and it resulted in the Los Angeles Lakers advancing to the playoffs.

Speaking of injuries, Davis had an injury scare in Game 1 of the first round series vs. the Memphis Grizzlies. While many showed concern about him, Smith called out Davis.

“This is unbelievable. We don’t even get to evaluate the greatness of Anthony Davis because something happens. How long is this brother gonna last? Is he going to get hurt? Sure enough, before the first half is even finished, he goes down… he better be back!”

This call out by Smith may have hurt AD’s feelings and probably played a crucial role in the 30-year-old unfollowing the ESPN analyst on Twitter.
