Stephen A. Smith Says Kawhi Leonard Could Go To The Miami Heat: “Undercover Wise, His Relationship With Jimmy Butler Is Pretty Damn Good.”

2 Min Read

The Miami Heat have recently gotten blown out by the Milwaukee Bucks, and it looks as though they could use some help on the roster. Jimmy Butler is a superstar, but it has looked as though the Milwaukee Bucks have been a better team thus far in the series.

Somebody they could potentially go after is Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi Leonard could become a free agent this summer by declining his player option, and test the market. Of course, every team with available cap space would try to convince him to go there. One of those teams could be the Miami Heat. Stephen A. Smith has recently stated that due to Jimmy Butler’s relationship with Kawhi Leonard, the Heat could be an appealing spot.

“Kawhi Leonard might come there because, undercover wise, his relationship with Jimmy Butler is pretty damn good,”

There is no doubt that a duo of Jimmy Butler and Kawhi Leonard would allow them to compete even in a heavily stacked Eastern Conference. Both are two-way superstars who can compete on both ends of the floor. There is no doubt that both have a winning pedigree too, as Butler has been to the Finals, and Leonard has two championships.

It remains to be seen whether a move materializes, but it seems as though Smith views it as a possibility. The Miami Heat could still come back and beat the Milwaukee Bucks, and their results this postseason will surely influence what they do.
