Stephen A. Smith Says Los Angeles Clippers Should Trade For Bradley Beal

3 Min Read

Bradley Beal is the man of the hour in the NBA after his recent struggles with the Washington Wizards. The shooting guard is playing great basketball but his team can’t win a game, which has started to frustrate the player, as he recently revealed.

Beal is one of the best scorers in the league right now and plenty of people believe he can be a great addition to any team in the league that can compete for a spot in the postseason or the championship.NBA fans took to Twitter to ask the Wizards to free Beal and even analysts are asking the team to look for trade partners for this man and end the nightmare for everybody in D.C.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith recently talked about this situation, urging the Wizards to part ways with Beal as soon as possible before it’s too late for his career (2:27 mark).

“Tommy Sheppard, Scott Brooks, you gotta get Bradley Beal up outta here. He’s a tremendous asset, but you gotta get him up outta there,” Smith said during a recent edition of ESPN’s First Take.

Moreover, the analyst identified a team that could make good use of Beal, especially if they want to beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference playoffs. Stephen A. tipped the Clippers to make a move for the guard if they wanted to take their game to the next level.

“If there is any way, the Clippers can get Bradley Beal to pair with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, you do it because I think that’s their chance of coming out of the West,” he explained.

“How can the Clippers possibly position themselves to win the chip? By getting somebody like Bradley Beal. With a Paul George, with a Kawhi Leonard, Lord have mercy. That could potentially be special.”

It’ll be interesting to see if the Clippers are actually interested in Beal and what they’re willing to do to land the player, who could be great alongside Kawhi and PG. This situation is still developing and nobody knows what’s going to happen but it seems like Beal’s tenure with the Wizards may have a similar ending to James Harden with the Rockets.
