The Phoenix Suns’ series against the Los Angeles Clippers is all tied up after the Suns’ victory in Game 2, and there is no doubt that they will be looking to demoralize the Clippers in their own stadium in Game 3. Kevin Durant is widely considered to be the best player in the series, and many believe that he will lead the Suns to a series victory.

With that being said, it is clear that some don’t think that Kevin Durant is necessarily the player that people should be picking as the best within the series. Stephen A. Smith claimed that he’d rather have Kawhi Leonard than Kevin Durant for the duration of this series due to the star being aggressive and “looking for his shot.”

“The aggressiveness of Kawhi Leonard is what I’m leaning on…he’s looking for his shot, he’s looking to be aggressive. Kevin Durant is looking to make the right play, he’s looking to fit in. At any moment that you give Kawhi Leonard a sliver, he wants to take over…that’s what I want from a superstar in a series like this.”

There is no doubt that Kawhi Leonard has been spectacular in the series thus far, and the Clippers will need him to produce at a high level to beat the Suns. He has averaged 34.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 6.0 APG for the Clippers thus far in the playoffs, and we’ll need to see similar numbers from him every game to give the Clippers a chance.

Kawhi Leonard Has Been Excited To Face Kevin Durant In The Postseason

Kawhi Leonard is someone who enjoys going against the best players in the league, and previously, he expressed excitement about getting to face Kevin Durant in the postseason.

“He’s a great player. These are the fun parts of it, just going out there and competing against a guy like him that’s been doing it year after year. Everybody’s gonna have to take the challenge.”

There’s no doubt that Kawhi Leonard does well in the biggest games, and that has been no different in the Clippers’ series against the Suns. Kawhi Leonard led them to a big Game 1 win in Phoenix, showing that he is a clutch player, with all 38 of his points being crucial.

Hopefully, the Clippers – Suns series continues to be exciting, and it definitely hasn’t disappointed thus far. The next two games will be in Los Angeles, and we’ll see who ends up coming out on top.
