Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Denver Nuggets in their most recent matchup in the NBA. It wasn’t a close game, as the Nuggets completely outplayed the Warriors and won the game with a 134-117 score.

Following the defeat, the Warriors have now fallen to a 26-26 record, which is only good enough for being the ninth seed in the Western Conference. This is the second consecutive defeat for the defending champions of the league.

They previously lost against the Minnesota Timberwolves after blowing a fourth-quarter lead. Stephen Curry admitted that has been a constant difficulty for the team this season.

Stephen Curry Talks About The Warriors’ Defeat Against The Nuggets

Stephen Curry is undoubtedly the leader of the Golden State Warriors, and he is usually the first to talk about the team’s struggles. He did so once again after getting blown out by the Nuggets. Curry didn’t hold back and called out his teammates after the defeat.

“Mostly optimistic in terms of who we’re capable of being, the flashes that we’ve shown throughout the season. But very aware that we’ve got to figure some stuff out. So, somewhere right in between. Feels like everybody, including the vets, the core, needs to play better. More consistently. Some of the other questions around our rotations and our defensive mindset and just our focus on that front, we have to address that and continue to hold ourselves accountable. But if everybody raises their level of play just a little bit. And that’s why I’m optimistic, I feel like we can do that.”

Curry didn’t leave anyone out while calling out the Warriors’ poor performance against the Nuggets. Be it the young guys, the core, or the vets, Curry believes that the entire Warriors team needs to get better if they want to continue winning games this season.
