Stephen Curry On LeBron James Game-Winner: “I’ve Seen It Before. About Five Years Ago. I Know What It’s Like.”

The Golden State Warriors – Los Angeles Lakers play-in matchup was a tight game, but it came down to LeBron James hitting a long-distance shot over Stephen Curry for the win. LeBron James’ game-winner was a great show of his ability in clutch situations. LeBron James is known as a pass-first player, so his ability to still score in those situations is amazing.

Stephen Curry has recently commented on James hitting the game-winner over him, and mentioned that he knows what it feels like to have a game-winner hit over him, obviously referring to the Kyrie Irving shot in the 2016 NBA Finals.

Steph Curry on what it was like for someone to hit the game-winner over him:

“Well, I’ve seen it before. About five years ago. I know what it’s like.”

“I’ve seen it before about five years ago. I know what it’s like. This one I was a little further away from so I don’t feel too bad about it”

It was a massive shot to hit, and all credit goes to LeBron James for making the improbably happen. Stephen Curry obviously knows what it’s like to face off against LeBron James, and you have to be ready for anything. Kyrie Irving is an amazing isolation player as well. If LeBron James or Kyrie Irving hit a tough shot on you, there’s no shame in that. They are both extremely talented offensive players. However, the Golden State Warriors will certainly look to avoid having game-winners scored on them in the future.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have another chance to make the playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Hopefully, they are able to capitalize on the opportunity. Stephen Curry is having one of the best stretches of his career, and they need to make the most of it. While Ja Morant and the Grizzlies will be a tough opponent, it’s hard to doubt a generational superstar like Stephen Curry.
