Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors pulled off an incredible win last night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Despite having one of the worst shooting nights in the team’s entire history, the Warriors were able to turn things around in the dying moments of the fourth quarter and win the game.
The Warriors are now 3-1 up over the Grizzlies and one win away from returning to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2019.
Stephen Curry stepped up in the big moment, despite having a poor shooting night. And it may have something to do with him changing his sneakers.
Curry was wearing sneakers to pay respect to Craig Sager, a legendary sports broadcaster. But Curry changed his shoes in the fourth quarter, and the new shoes served as a good luck charm for him and the Warriors.
After the game, Stephen Curry was asked why he decided to switch his sneakers in the fourth quarter. Curry gave a simple response, noting that he was trying to switch things up and shock the system in the dying stage of the game (0:38 onwards).

Whatever the reason was for Curry changing his shoes, it seemed to have worked. The Warriors were trailing for almost the entire game, and only got the lead in the final seconds of the game, thanks to Stephen Curry.
The Warriors will be hoping to close the series out in Memphis during Game 5, as not closing the series with them soon could allow the Grizzlies a window back into the series.
The status of Ja Morant for Game 5 is not known yet, but one has to imagine he could be back soon. The Grizzlies will do everything in their power to hold off the Warriors until Morant can come back and then make a push to win the series.
