Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors missed their chance to close out their series against the Denver Nuggets. On the verge of completing a sweep of the Nuggets, the Warriors weren’t able to get the job done, as the Nuggets were able to get their first win in the series last night. A surprise for fans that happened during the game was Stephen Curry missing 4 free throws, the most of his career.
Stephen Curry spoke after the game about his 4 missed free throws. Curry was not happy with the misses, noting that he hated missing free throws. Curry then added that missing free throws was the worst feeling because he was so proficient from the line. Stephen Curry also explained how he missed the free throws, but also gave himself some credit, as he was happy with reaching the line 14 times in the game.

“Missed free throws. I hate them. It’s the worst feeling in the world because it’s what I do really well. This is where all in and outs, pretty much. 2 front rims, 2 in and outs so… I’m glad I got there 14 times, which speaks to how I’m feeling physically and just trying to be aggressive.”
Curry and the Warriors will now travel back to San Francisco, as they look to close out the series back at home. The Warriors have been dominant throughout this series, and this game was the first time they looked slightly off. Steve Kerr and the rest of the squad will be focused on trying to fix their mistakes from last night and getting the win against the Nuggets in Game 5.
The Warriors are expected to make a deep run in these playoffs, with many fans and analysts even picking them to win it all. The Warriors will be aiming to reach their first NBA Finals since 2019 and winning their first NBA championship since 2018.
