Stephen Curry’s Blunt Reaction To Warriors 4-Game Winning Streak: “We Have Another Level To Get To”

Stephen Curry is putting the world on notice and even making a case for MVP right now. He’s been nothing short of spectacular over the Golden State Warriors’ four-game winning streak and has scored at least 32 points per game over his past 9 outings.

The Warriors know that there’s not much room for error right now as they enter the final stretch of the season. Thus, they’ll have to play those finals 16 games like a Game 7 if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.

That’s why, even though he’s glad the team is trending in the right direction and in the best possible time, Curry still believes that the Warriors could reach another level:

“We have another level to get to, but it’s nice it’s turning into wins,” the two-time MVP said, as quoted by Kerith Burke of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The Warriors currently hold the 9th spot in the Western Conference and are back to .500 following this impressive 4-game stretch. Then again, there’s just one game of separation between the 8th-seeded Memphis Grizzlies and the 10th-seeded San Antonio Spurs.

Should the season end today, the Warriors would have to play against the Spurs in the play-in tournament, and then against the winner between the Grizzlies and the Dallas Mavericks.

That’s why Steve Kerr’s team is going to try and keep the momentum in their favor to improve their position in the West. They can still clinch the 6th seed and avoid that play-in scenario but would need to be almost perfect until the end of the season. But hey, with Curry averaging over 30 points per game, we wouldn’t rule them out just yet.
