Stephon Marbury: “LeBron James Is Not A Real Laker. He Doesn’t Need To Carry Kobe Bryant’s Legacy”

2 Min Read

Stephon Marbury is not a fan of LeBron James and he has shown that in the past. Now, the former New York Knicks star has taken a big shot at Bron and many other people while talking about the tragic death of the Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

“You don’t need to go and get guys like LeBron to go speak and talk about what they’re going to carry and all that,” Marbury said on Complex’s “Load Management” podcast. “He doesn’t need you to carry his legacy. His legacy is his legacy. Carry your own legacy. Keep you poppin’ and going. You’re not no real Laker.”

Marbury noted that people that hated Kobe in the past were now praising him and he didn’t hesitate to show a message to the King.

This comes after LeBron gave a heartfelt speech to the Staples Center crowd during the first Lakers game following Kobe’s passing.

As expected, a lot of people reacted to this tragic accident, which wasn’t well-received by Marbury. This is a common thing when somebody as famous as Kobe dies, but the point guard didn’t hold anything this time, especially against LeBron; this isn’t the first time Stephon takes a shot at Bron, and we doubt this will be the last one.
