Steve Nash Says Michael Jordan Is The GOAT, LeBron 2nd, Kobe 3rd

Steve Nash has given his two pennies about one of the hottest topics in the NBA in recent times. Ever after the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan’s 10-part docuseries saw the light three weeks ago, people haven’t stopped arguing about who is the greatest player of all time.

Nash has been the latest addition to that list, as he named Jordan the GOAT of basketball, followed by two great stars, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, respectively. He joined ‘All The Smoke’ podcast, where he was asked by co-host Matt Barnes to rank Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant in order.

“I think MJ is my guy for sure, always. When you talk about Kobe and LeBron, I totally understand why people put LeBron where he is: either first or second on many people’s eyes. When you look at the whole picture of everything LeBron has done over the course of his career, it’s hard to argue with,” Nash said.

“I think at his best Kobe is right there with any of them. When he was flying and playing his best, he was as good as we’ve ever seen. I think you probably hear me saying: Jordan, LeBron, Kobe on the total picture,” he summed up.

Nash also provided his opinion on MJ and how he felt facing Jordan on the court. The two-time MVP, seven-time All-NBA, and eight-time All-Star admitted he was afraid of seeing Michael on the floor.

“We didn’t have so much access back then to every single thing on Instagram, or YouTube, let alone watching games live so MJ was must-see TV. He just had this charisma on top of all the gifts and skills and mentally, you know how great he is.

Playing against him, the one thing that I think he was unlike any other player I have played against is that there was a real fear playing against him. I’ve never seen the league be kinda fearful of a player or have that much reverence for a player,” Nash added.

This is not a coincidence. Jordan was a fierce competitor. Not only his rivals were afraid of him, but his own teammates. Well, that worked for MJ, who is a 6x NBA champion and is considered the greatest baller the game has ever seen.
