Though Kevin Love is no longer in his prime, he is definitely a future Hall of Famer. He was an All-Star-level big man during his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he notably helped the Cavaliers win a championship in 2016.

There has been some recent speculation about Kevin Love potentially joining up with LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers after news about him finalizing a buyout with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Though originally it was just speculation, according to Brian Windhorst, it seems as though the Los Angeles Lakers are actually considering signing the big man. (3:00)

I think the Lakers are kicking the tires there and looking.

There is no doubt that Kevin Love could potentially help the Los Angeles Lakers this year. The team looks good after their recent acquisitions, and Kevin Love would be another great addition for them. His spacing ability is extremely valuable if he plays the C position, and hopefully, we’ll see the Lakers sign Kevin Love in the future.

The Warriors Are Also Interested In Kevin Love

There’s no doubt that Kevin Love will be a premier free agent on the buyout market, and a number of teams have already registered interest in the big man. A previous report suggested that the Golden State Warriors could be a team that targets Love.

Along with the Heat, keep an eye on the Warriors and Celtics when it comes to Love’s next destination. He is a childhood friend of Warriors star guard Klay Thompson. It would not be a surprise if Thompson tried to recruit him.

On paper, Kevin Love seems like a perfect fit for the Golden State Warriors. They need size and rebounding after moving James Wiseman, and his ability to shoot 3PT shots at a high level could be beneficial for the team as well. Though he would obviously have issues on the defensive end, between Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green the Warriors have the personnel to make up for that.

It is clear that a lot of contending franchises believe that Kevin Love will be a valuable signing for them. There are a number of those teams that can offer Kevin Love a solid role coming off the bench as well, and it is likely what it will come down to for the big man. Hopefully, we see Kevin Love thrive at his next destination, and he can certainly contribute to a winning team.
