The Los Angeles Lakers have made a large number of moves ahead of this year’s trade deadline, notably acquiring former All-Star D’Angelo Russell, as well as solid role players such as Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura.
After their changes, there’s no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers have become a better team on both ends of the floor. We recently discussed how far the Los Angeles Lakers could get in the playoffs after their moves. (29:30)
Divij Kulkarni: How far do you think they go in the playoffs if you have to make a prediction right now? Let’s say the Lakers have perfect health.
Lee Tran: Western Conference Finals. If they do get to that stage, I won’t even count them out… because I’ve seen LeBron James in the playoffs. That might be a hot take given how far back they are right now… they’ll have to make it up. I think the Lakers got better… the key is making the playoffs first.
There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers have a solid squad, but they will need to build chemistry and gel if they are to get far in the playoffs. Hopefully, we see them make the postseason, and they have a realistic chance of doing so.
