Kobe Bryant is a Los Angeles Lakers legend, and there’s no doubt that many view him as the greatest Laker of all time. Bryant wowed many Lakers fans from across the world with his tough shot-making.
The Los Angeles Lakers were recently in the news because the team acquired Patrick Beverley by sending out Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson. It was recently revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers waited until the 25th of August to finalize that deal with the Utah Jazz. It is clear that the organization has a lot of respect for Kobe Bryant, and it is definitely good to see that the organization was willing to postpone the deal to not take away from Kobe Bryant Day.
Was told the @Lakers waited until today to consummate the trade with the Jazz out of respect to Kobe Bryant Day yesterday. Kobe Bryant Day is celebrated on August 24, chosen for jerseys 8 and 24, in Los Angeles and Orange County to commemorate the life of the Lakers icon.

There is no doubt that Kobe Bryant has inspired a lot of modern-day players, not just fans. Though some players such as Jayson Tatum have gotten hate for representing Kobe Bryant. Devin Booker once pointed out that Kobe Bryant always wanted to inspire the next generation of hoopers, adding that players shouldn’t get hate for paying tribute to one of their idols.
We both love him a lot. The thing about that, I’ll elaborate on that. I see (Tatum) getting hate just representing Kobe and being inspired by him. But Kobe always said his one job is to inspire the next generation — that’s what he’s done for us.
He is gonna live forever in this game and not even just in basketball. Just his approach to life and how he’s changed and shaped so many people. I think it’s foolish for people to give hate to somebody like me or Jayson representing one of our idols.
There is no question that Kobe Bryant’s memory lives on, and his contributions to the game will never be forgotten. What stood out about Kobe Bryant is his dedication to consistently improving, and it is clear that his work ethic was second to none.
Hopefully, we see Kobe Bryant continue to serve as an inspiration in the future. There was a lot to like about his approach to the game and his skill set, and we can see traces of his game in a lot of players who are in the league today.
