LeBron James is in his twentieth season in the NBA, and the 38-year-old is still a dominant force on the hardwood. And he credited his trainer, Mike Mancias, for helping him perform well at the highest level consistently.

“There’s no way I’d be playing 20 seasons without him, James said,” via Dave McMenamin. “It’s literally that simple. There’s no way I’d be able to still be playing at this level without him. I mean, he’s that essential to my game, to my performance, to everything that I do. To my mental. So, there’s no way. I mean, I could have got 7-to-12 years of this. But 20? There’s no way without him.”

Mancias has been instrumental in keeping one of the oldest players in the NBA fit. While James has been battling injuries over the last two seasons, he has still been in pristine form averaging 28.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists this season to help the Lakers make a playoff push.

Surely, Mancias deserves a lot more credit for helping James in his 20th season, and with the latter keen on playing with his son Bronny, there’s no doubt that he and his trainer are pulling out all stops to keep him game ready.

LeBron James Is Not Taking The Play-In Game Against The Minnesota Timberwolves For Granted

All eyes are on James and the Lakers as they host the Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels-less Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.

While LA is the favorite to win the clash against the short-handed wolves, James was cautious with his approach and also urged his teammates not to take their opposition for granted.

“It’s different cause usually in the postseason you have multiple days of prep for a team,” James said, per The Athletic. “But you literally have one day to prep. … For us, it’s just good that we don’t need to travel. We’ve traveled a lot lately. It’s good that we get to stay here, but we shouldn’t be comfortable. We have to stay on edge and get ready for the game.”

The Lakers have been an improved unit in the second half of the regular season, notching up wins with and without James, but come Tuesday, and they will arguably play the most important game of their season. And for James to suit up, Mancias has played his part already.
