Stephen Curry has started the season off well thus far averaging 29.0 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 6.3 APG while shooting 40.0% from beyond the arc on 11.3 attempts a game. The Golden State Warriors are 4-0 currently, and they are one of the two undefeated teams in the league.

If he keeps up his stellar play, it is quite possible that Stephen Curry will enter the MVP conversation as the season goes on. He has already won the MVP award twice, and Tim Legler has recently picked him to win the award once again at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season.

Stephen Curry is going to be MVP. Write it down right now. Go ahead, put it on the big board. I’ll be here all year. We can revisit it.

I looked at that team last night, I know they’re not playing a very good team. But, I’m looking at that team, I’m going “look at the Warriors’ roster”…. Jordan Poole, Damion Lee, Kevon Looney. Wiggins. Iguodala… Wiggins is a good NBA player, a good scorer. He’s not a star. Obviously, Draymond Green does star-like things in what he does.

Stephen Curry is out there with this group that are undefeated… He’s gonna average around 30, they’re going to be the top 4 in the Western Conference. That spells MVP to me, with this roster. Particularly if you don’t get Klay Thompson back till midseason, maybe January, maybe February before he’s himself? You’re in the top 4 in the West and he puts up those numbers in addition to what he creates for other people without touching then ball? I think he is (MVP).

It remains to be seen if Stephen Curry and the Warriors will continue on their current hot streak, but it seems obvious that they are a better team than last year. Some even have them winning the 2021-22 NBA championship if Klay Thompson returns healthy.

If the Warriors have a good team record, and Stephen Curry has good counting stats, then he could definitely be in the MVP conversation. He was in the MVP discussion last season, even though the Warriors were a play-in team. Perhaps he could lead his team to a higher finish this year and show that he is deserving of the award.
