The San Antonio Spurs are happy to have Victor Wembanyama joining them ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season. The Texan team has huge expectations for the Frenchman, who is expected to mark an era in the NBA.

Before all of this starts, the Spurs revealed one of the biggest mysteries surrounding their brand-new star. Wembanyama has been officially listed by the team as 7’3.5″, without shoes on, per NBA guidelines.

When the 2023-24 season starts, Wembanyama will be the second-tallest player in the league behind Boban Marjanovic (7’4″).

Wembanyama carries big expectations coming into the NBA, and the Spurs are doing everything in their power to guide him to have a long and successful career. It all started in the best way, with Wemby having dinner with team legends Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Manu Ginobili and Sean Elliot.

He’s making a big impression within the organization, and even Elliot was in awe of Wembanyama’s maturity and desire to get better and learn more about the game.

The Frenchman is excited to join the Spurs, and the team wants to make him its next legend. Gregg Popovich couldn’t hide his happiness after the 2023 NBA Draft, and Wemby has shared this sentiment, showing how happy he is to be part of one of the best franchises in the NBA.

Victor Wembanyama And The Spurs Are Looking Dangerous

The Spurs are getting ready to start a new era, with Wembanyama showing the way. The projected starting lineup for next season looks dangerous, with Tre Jones, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, and Jeremy Sochan joining Victor Wembanyama this upcoming season.

The Frenchman is set to leave a huge mark not only in San Antonio but the rest of the NBA, and the league is waiting to see how special he can be going against proven stars.

Wembanyama finished the LNB Pro A season, winning a lot of awards, including the MVP, DPOY, Best Young Player, Best Shot-Blocker, the scoring championship and more. It’s time to replicate that in the NBA, and the Spurs are the best franchise to help him.
