- Germany squared off against Canada earlier this weekend
- Dennis Schroder and Dillon Brooks were the highlights of the skirmish
- RJ Barrett led from the front to hand Canada the win
Dennis Schroder trolled Dillon Brooks during Germany vs. Canada’s tuneup game which the latter eventually won.
In a social media clip doing the rounds, Schroder could be seen exchanging some words with Brooks with the referee involved in the conversation. Seconds later, the German guard grabbed a full-court pass and dunked it in, while pointing at Brooks and laughing at his face.
Schroder got Dillon Brooks AGAIN 🤣

But Canada had the last laugh as they pipped Germany 113-112 in overtime with RJ Barrett leading the way. He recorded 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist to help secure the win. On his part, Schroder ended with 26 points and 8 assists.
This is the second time that Schroder and Brooks have been at it. Earlier, Schroder pulled a nasty move on the forward by grabbing the ball he kept dribbling low to the ground at the halfway line. Brooks made a dash for it, but Schroder scooped it up and blasted past him, leaving Brooks lying on the floor.
Surely, there is more fireworks between these two in the next season to watch out for when the Toronto Raptors take on the Houston Rockets.
Canada Are One Of The Stacked Teams In The 2023 FIBA World Cup
Canada pulled no punches when they named their squad for the 2023 FIBA World Cup prior to the start of the marquee tournament.
Jamal Murray, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dillon Brooks, R.J. Barrett, Luguentz Dort, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kelly Olynyk, Oshae Brissett, Cory Joseph, Dwight Powell, Zach Edey, Kevin Pangos, Kassius Robertson, Phil Scrubb, and Thomas Scrubb make up the roster.
Now, as they head into the start of the tournament, all eyes will be on the team that’s filled with bonafide NBA superstars. However, they will face some stiff competition from other teams, and it remains to be seen if they can win the World Cup after packing the team heavily.
Canada’s first game is against France on August 25 in Jakarta, Indonesia. It will be interesting to see how they fare against a tough unit.
