Kawhi Leonard once stated during his introductory press conference with the Raptors that he is a fun guy but he certainly does not come across as one. That’s not to say that he doesn’t have fun in private but at least in public, he doesn’t tend to show much emotion no matter what he’s doing.
A video recently went viral of Kawhi being a judge for a dunk contest and while there were plenty of oohs and aahs from those in attendance after the dunks, Leonard was expressionless as he handed out his scores. It is typical of the man we have come to know in public over the years and he’s not going to change who he is at this point.
Kawhi Leonard Looked Extremely Disinterested At New York Fashion Week
While he is definitely not a people person by the looks of it, Kawhi has perhaps been seen at public events with a lot more regularity than in years past. He was recently at the US Open in New York for the Women’s Singles Final where he raised some eyebrows by wearing a mysterious t-shirt that left some scratching their heads. During his time in the city, he was also spotted at New York Fashion Week, and in typical Leonard fashion, he seemed very disinterested.

Add that to the Kawhi being totally emotionless montage and we’ll get to add a lot more to these if he shows up in public as often as he seems to these days. Kawhi is probably enjoying his last bit of vacation time here before the season starts and we can’t wait to see him back on the court.
The last we saw of Leonard was in the 2021 playoffs, where he was averaging 30.4 points per game on a ridiculous 57.3% shooting before going down with an ACL tear in the Conference Semifinals. It ruled him out for the entire 2021-22 season and we hope he can stay healthy this time around.
Health has always been the main concern when it comes to Kawhi, as there are no doubts about what he can do when he steps onto the court. He has shown time and time again just how great he is and who knows what might have happened in 2021 if he stayed healthy. The Clippers have also improved their squad with some solid acquisitions like John Wall this offseason and with Paul George also healthy going into 2022-23, there is plenty of cause for optimism within the organization right now.
