Ja Morant is one of the most entertaining players in the NBA right now. A huge part of his arsenal is his high-flying dunks during games.

But during Game 4 of the first-round series vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, Ja Morant avoided a scary fall when attempting to dunk over LeBron James. Ironically, Morant landing on James is what softened his fall. So, the King essentially saved his opponent from picking up a severe injury in the playoffs.

Ja Morant was legitimately in the air for about two seconds. If he didn’t land on LeBron James, it could have led to a gruesome injury.

Considering Morant recently got injured on a similar play in Game 1 of the series, one would assume that the Grizzlies superstar has learned from his mistake. But Ja still has a long way to go.

If he continues to play recklessly, his career in the NBA could end up being cut short due to a serious injury.

Ja Morant Received Huge Praise From LeBron James After Game 3

The Los Angeles Lakers have won back-to-back games in the series as they hold a commanding 3-1 lead.

While the Grizzlies have been outplayed by the Purple and Gold, it doesn’t mean Ja will not get his much-deserved praise. A recent example of it was when Morant scored 22 straight points for his team in Game 3.

Following the scoring outburst in the fourth quarter, LeBron James couldn’t stop himself from praising his opponent.

“That boy is good,” James said. “I mean, he’s good. He’s so good at attacking the rim that you wanna try to keep bodies in front of him, keep trying to make live on the perimeter. Tonight, he made six threes. So I mean, once a guy gets going from the outside, he can do whatever he wants offensively… When great players get it going, there’s nothing you can do. You can run off 20, you can run off 30, you can’t stop him.”

In the 2023 NBA playoffs, Morant is averaging 27.3 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 7.3 APG, 1.7 SPG, and 0.3 BPG. Despite his solid performances, the Grizzlies have been outplayed by the Lakers until now.

Can Morant somehow lead the Grizzlies to a famous comeback in the series? We will find out over the next few days.
