LeBron James and Scottie Pippen crossed paths on Saturday night, as both were in attendance for Sierra Canyon’s game against St. Pius X-St. Matthias. A video of the two of them linking up there, recently went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.

They were both present to support their sons, as Justin Pippen and Bryce James were in action here. Scottie seems to have suffered an injury of some sort as his left arm was in a sling, but that wasn’t going to stop him from being there for Justin.

Both he and LeBron would have been smiling at the end of the game as well, as their sons helped Sierra Canyon come away with a 51-42 win. They now have an excellent overall record of 16-1 this season.

NBA Fans Reacted To LeBron And Pippen Linking Up

The video of LeBron and Pippen linking up generated a fair bit of buzz on social media. NBA fans ended up having quite a wide range of reactions to it.

One joked that Pippen knows who is the real GOAT.

A fan said LeBron would win seven rings with Pippen.

One simply called them two legends of the game.

A fan hilariously said they are two individuals who know what it’s like to be No. 2 to Michael Jordan.

One fan thinks they would the best duo ever.

While I’m not sure they would have been the greatest duo ever, as their games were somewhat similar, they’d have been quite the pairing. We’ll never get to see what that would have actually looked like, but at least we get to see their sons in action.

Scottie Pippen Said LeBron James Will Be The Greatest Statistical Player Ever

For the longest time, Pippen was not very complimentary of LeBron when the Los Angeles Lakers superstar was compared to Michael Jordan. He used to side with his former teammate, with Pippen once saying there is no game where he would pick LeBron over Jordan.

Things have changed now, though, with the former teammates having fallen out over The Last Dance documentary. Pippen even went as far as to call Jordan a horrible player and said LeBron would be the greatest statistical guy to ever play.

“LeBron James will be the greatest statistical guy to ever play the game of basketball. There’s no comparison to him… I’ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls… [Michael Jordan] was a horrible player. He was horrible to play with. He was all 1 on 1, he was shooting bad shots. ”

While the Jordan part was a bit much, the point about LeBron was obviously a very correct one. James is going to set numerous statistical marks that are going to be almost impossible for anyone to match.

He passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer last year and is far from done either. In his 21st season, James is averaging 25.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game.

By the time the 39-year-old retires, the all-time scoring record will be simply beyond reach. His statistical dominance is a big reason why many consider LeBron to be the greatest, and if he wins another championship or two, his GOAT case would end up being a very strong one.
