Michael Jordan is currently the governor of the Charlotte Hornets, and we often see him show up to Hornets games and watch the team play. Obviously, that’s a good sign of support for his players, and there’s no doubt that it is a good way to show commitment to the team.

The Charlotte Hornets almost blew a huge lead to the Los Angeles Lakers today, who were led by Russell Westbrook. They were bailed out by Russell Westbrook missing a 3PT shot to win the game. With that being said, Russell Westbrook did have 35 points on the evening, and a lot of fans did end up recognizing that he played well.

Michael Jordan was in attendance for the game, and towards the end of the game, cameras caught him leaving because the Charlotte Hornets almost blew the lead. That’s certainly funny to see, and we all know that Michael Jordan would have closed out that game much better if he were on the court. The announcer even joked that “Michael Jordan needs to walk off” what he was witnessing from his team.

The Charlotte Hornets did end up pulling out the win though, and there’s no doubt that at the end of the day, they got the job done. The Hornets have an exciting young team featuring players like LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, and Kelly Oubre, along with some solid veterans in Gordon Hayward and Mason Plumlee. They look like they could potentially compete for the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference, though they are currently a play-in tier team as of now.

Hopefully, we see the Charlotte Hornets avoid putting themselves in situations such as these in the future. However, their execution will certainly improve with time, and it will definitely be exciting to see what the future has in store for this iteration of the Hornets.
