When Boban Marjanovic Hilariously Bullied A 6’11” Anthony Davis For Being ‘Too Short’

The NBA is a league that is known for its superstars. Be it the likes of LeBron James or Stephen Curry, the league has always produced talented players who are the face of the league.

While these players understandably have their fair share of fans and haters, there are some players in the league who are simply the fan favorites and, irrespective of their alliance to a team, get the loudest cheers from the crowd.

Former Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic is one of them. While the 7’3″ Serbian might look like one of the most intimidating people in the league, in reality, Boban is often considered as a humble giant by fans.

While his popularity has soared during his time with the Mavs, Marjanovic has been known for his hilarious antics for a while now. One of the perfect examples of this was when the Los Angeles Clippers faced off against the Anthony Davis-led New Orleans Pelicans back in 2018.

Davis, who is still widely considered one of the top players in the league, has a massive wingspan and is also very agile than most big men. But the 6’11” forward was certainly not ready for what was about to come.

After a possession where a defender fouled Boban, the 7’3″ center had the ball in his hand and held it high in the air. While Anthony Davis tried to knock the ball from Marjanovic’s hand, the 6’11” was just too small as he was unable to reach the ball and fend it off of Boban’s hands.

This was certainly one of the most hilarious moments of the season and lives rent-free in many NBA fans’ minds, and for a good reason.

Boban, meanwhile, finds himself in Houston as a member of the Rockets for the upcoming season and can be a great influence in their locker room. While the Rockets have some of the most exciting young talents on their team, an experienced veteran like Marjanovic can be an incredible addition and will be key in the players’ development.

The Rockets can also look to trade away the veteran center in order to give their younger big men the majority of minutes. Where do you think Boban will end up next?
