  • Dennis Rodman won five NBA titles during his NBA career
  • Rodman once married himself to promote his book
  • Rodman missed a game once for the Bulls to go party

Dennis Rodman was known for his party lifestyle. Who could forget the time he went to Las Vegas during the 1997-98 season?

This was not the only time Rodman needed some space away from basketball. The problem with this situation was Rodman missed a game the Chicago Bulls were playing.

“So we playing the Nets; we go down to New York. We going to Scores, the strip club Scores. So, I saw a girl that I knew, and she said, ‘Let’s go to Atlantic City.’

“I said, ‘Great’. We at the craps table, we just drinking, drinking, drinking, all night. I forgot I had a basketball game that day. So, I say, ‘F*ck it.’ Next thing I know, I get a knock on the door, I said, ‘Who Is it?’ ‘George.’

“It’s my security people. He said, ‘Dennis, you know you’re missing a game right now?’ They came and got me and got a private plane and went back to Chicago. They [Bulls] were still playing a game in Jersey.”

This is quite that statement from Rodman. Despite being known as a “party animal” Rodman usually showed up to play and he normally played well. But even the best of us slip up sometimes.

Controversial Life Of Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman has had a controversial life, to say the least. Rodman grew up in a poor family, where his father ran out on the family when Rodman was three years old. His mother once kicked him out of their home, making him homeless.

Rodman also famously dated pop singer Madonna and he once married himself. “The Worm” as Rodman was known, also married actress Carmen Electra.

Rodman has also made some controversial friends throughout his life, like North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. It’s safe to say whatever Rodman does in his life causes some sort of controversy.

Rodman once even left the Bulls practice during the 1998 NBA Finals to appear on professional wrestling’s WCW with Hollywood Hulk Hogan. He later had a match against NBA rival Karl Malone.

Dennis Rodman Net Worth

Dennis Rodman might be a controversial figure, but that hasn’t stopped him from being successful. On the basketball court, Rodman averaged 7.3 points and 13.1 rebounds per game during his 14-year career.

Rodman won five NBA championships, seven rebounding titles, and two Defensive Player of the Year Awards. Nothing could stop Rodman on the court.

Off the court, Rodman has had a few hiccups. During his NBA career, Rodman made $26,255,000 in NBA contracts. This equates to $51,360,956 in today’s money.

Despite this, Rodman only has a net worth of $500 Thousand in 2023. Hopefully, Rodman has learned to manage his money better and get his net worth back closer to the money he earned while playing in the NBA.

But if history shows us, this won’t happen. When you’re too busy partying to notice you’ve missed an NBA game, your priorities are probably not right. That’s Dennis Rodman for you.
