Zion Williamson is one of the best young power forwards in the game today. He is an elite slasher and rebounder, and when Williamson’s on the court, he’s an elite interior force. Though he did not play during the 2021-22 season, he had a solid 2020-21 season, averaging 27.0 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 3.7 APG.

During his absence from the game, some people forgot about how good Zion Williamson is when he plays. He was an elite offensive player, and he will be able to show that he’s still at that level this upcoming season.

Recently, Pelicans center Willy Hernangomez sent a warning to the league about Zion Williamson, claiming that the star is “hungry” and is ready to prove that he’s one of the best players in the world.

Willy Hernangomez on Zion: "The most important thing is he’s hungry. He wants to destroy everybody. He wants to play hard. He wants to show people he’s one of the best players in the world. You can see that in practice."

“The most important thing is he’s hungry. He wants to destroy everybody. He wants to play hard. He wants to show people he’s one of the best players in the world. You can see that in practice.”

It is quite clear that Zion Williamson is motivated to prove his haters wrong. A lot of people are still high on his ability, and an NBA executive previously claimed that Zion Williamson can still be a franchise superstar.

“Two years ago, Zion was a Top 5 offensive player,” the NBA executive said. “His case is pretty simple. Do that again and be better on defense, and he’s for sure a franchise guy.”

On one hand, the executive has a point if Williamson can remain healthy, but that’s a big if considering he’s only played 85 total games the past three seasons.

Hopefully, we see Zion Williamson have a successful year. He has received a lot of hate over the course of the last season, and perhaps we’ll see the star shut his haters up going forward.

The New Orleans Pelicans Could Make Some Noise In The Western Conference

Though the New Orleans Pelicans are not viewed as a championship contender right now, they are definitely a team that has a high ceiling. If it all clicks for them, then no team will want to face them in a seven-game series.

Of course, the Western Conference is definitely tough right now and the New Orleans Pelicans will have to find a way to separate themselves from the pack. However, their present and future are both bright, and with Zion Williamson healthy, the sky’s the limit.
