Even though ‘experts’ considered the DeMar DeRozan signing a bad move for the Chicago Bulls, this team started the 2020/21 NBA season playing like they’re in March or April. Billy Donovan has a terrific roster that can compete for the important things.
The first two games of the season showed that Chicago isn’t just slightly better than last year. They can fight for a top-5 finish in the stacked Eastern Conference, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Still, the first two matches of the season made Chicago fans dream about the near future of this team.
After their 128-112 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night, Zach LaVine sent an encouraging message to the rest of the team and fans. The shooting guard is expected to lead this team to the playoff, and seeing how happy he is right now, that possibility is highly likely.
“We expect to play this way. This is the most excited I’ve been playing basketball,” the dunker claimed after the game.

Ever since the season started, Zach has been in good spirits. He knows the team did great adding DeRozan, Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso. This team is so much fun to watch, and LaVine clarified this season would be different from the beginning.
“This ain’t last year. We’re looking forward now. It’s a whole new team. A whole new mindset. So, I’m excited that we grinded that one out. A win’s a win,” he claimed after the Bulls took care of the Detroit Pistons.
New era of #Bulls basketball.

After a couple of struggling years, the Bulls have reasons to believe this season. Last term, the New York Knicks surprised everybody in the East; this one, the Bulls could do the same with this young and dynamic team.
They made the right moves to create this “second-tier” superteam to compete for a playoff berth. Everybody seems to be on the same page now, which is great for LaVine, Donovan and co.
