Zion Williamson is having a terrific sophomore season with the New Orleans Pelicans, having incredible performances with the team and pretty much becoming the reason why they are still fighting to get into the play-in tournament. The 20-year-old had a rookie season full of injuries that made people doubt his potential but now he’s back and letting everybody know he’s the real deal.

Proof of that is that Zion is the most efficient player this season, surpassing big names like Kawhi Leonard, Joel Embiid, and Stephen Curry. Moreover, this kid is posting historical numbers, too, topping what legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kevin McHale, and Shaquille O’Neal have done.

According to StatMuse, Zion has the highest FG% ever on 15+ attempts in a season with 62.7. To make things more interesting, he has the next 21 spots for him.

At 23rd, you find Kareem and his 60.4%; he is tied with Kevin McHale, who also owns the next two spots. Shaquille O’Neal ranks 28th with 60.1%. This is something incredible and it shows how dominant Zion is on the floor.

You can’t help but remind Michael Jordan and his impressive records with the Chicago Bulls, taking a lot of positions for himself thanks to his offensive prowess. Well, Zion is already demonstrating he can be great in the league and the Pelicans can’t be more excited about it.

The former Blue Devil is posting 26.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this season, helping the Pelicans stay alive in the West. This player is expected to do big things and although he doesn’t have the same attention he had last year, Zion is showing night in and night out why he’s one of the most promising players in the association.
