LeBron James Fires Back At UFC Fighter Colby Covington: ‘In The Arena, They’d S**t Their Pants’

LeBron James has earned a lot of praise and criticism for being an outspoken leader of the African American community. He has a clear and strong political stance and has vowed his concerns and dislike for President Donald Trump over and over.

That’s why UFC star Colby Covington decided to take a massive shot at him following his victory on Saturday night, going as far as to call him a “woke athlete” and a “spineless coward”:

“Ladies and gentlemen, the silent majority is ready to make some noise. If you thought that was a beating, wait ’till November 3 when Donald Trump gets his hands on sleepy Joe. That’s gonna be a landslide. I want to dedicate this fight to all the first responders, all the military out there. This world would not be safe without you guys, you keep us safe, and not these woke athletes. I’m sick of these spineless cowards like LeBron James,” Covington said.

Needless to say, the news flooded the internet in the blink of an eye, and while LeBron James tried to take the high road on this one, he couldn’t help to take a jab at Covington during a press conference:

“Anybody can talk from outside but if they got into the ring or got into the arena, probably 10 times out of 10, they’d s—- their pants,” James said.

Ever since he made it to the league in 2003, James has vowed to take a stand for minorities and has lived up to it with countless donations and his I Promise school in Akron, Ohio. He also supported the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to boycott their playoff game vs. the Orlando Magic.

Knowing Covington, he’s definitely going to take another shot at The King as soon as he gets his hands on a microphone, so this will be a story worthy of keeping up with, for sure.
