While star point guard John Wall prepares for his return to the court, his return to the Wizards is no under major doubt.
According to a report by The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the 30-year-old guard has made it clear he wants a trade from the team he has called home for the past 9 years.

The former Kentucky Wildcat is a 5x All-Star, 2017 All-NBA player, and 2011 Rookie of the Year. After dealing with several major injuries over the past couple of seasons, Wall has been sidelined for over a year attempting a comeback — in which time the rise of Bradley Beal has essentially usurped his own status within the organization.
It’s clear that Wall wants to go someplace new, and the Rockets were believed to be an early contender before apparently backing out.
As it stands, no other teams are said to be involved in talks with Washington, but you can expect them to work out a deal before the start of the season.
Despite the injuries, and the enormity of his contract, Wall is an intriguing player, a former All-Star, and might still have plenty left in the tank.
