The NBA is a complex game, and there are very few who understand it at a deep level. Apparently, for Damian Lillard, it is those who speak on the game most that actually know the least about it.
On Twitter, he made sure to point out that revelation without any hesitation.
As someone that watches A LOT of NBA games … not just highlights and box scores.. it’s obvious that so many ppl who speak on the game don’t really watch.

Isaiah Thomas responded to the message, clearly agreeing with the words of his fellow colleague.
It’s all highlights and box scores for most people!!! They really think they know the game off of that too smh https://t.co/Ok1qsbX0uD

In today’s internet age, it’s not hard to keep up with the current trends and storylines of the NBA. A quick look at the box scores will give you all the talking points you need.
But basketball is a bit deeper than that, and context runs deep in it, just like any other sport.
While Dame and Thomas may be making a harsh and speculative assessment of the NBA community, and the highly-critical media, but there is definitely an undeniable truth to their words.
To really understand basketball is to watch and study it, not just read up on the numbers.
