Blake Griffin On Fans Criticizing The Nets Superteam: “For The Last Year, I Have Been Hearing About How Bad I Was And Then I Come Here And People Say, ‘Oh, It’s Not Fair.'”

Blake Griffin is not a fan of all the comments about the Brooklyn Nets and the superteam they have assembled this season. The New Yorkers traded for James Harden back in January, signed Griffin in the buyout market a couple of weeks ago, and then did the same with LaMarcus Aldridge over the weekend.

This move didn’t sit well with a lot of people around the league that said the Nets were getting more firepower and it was unfair but Griffin doesn’t want to hear any of that. The player kept the receipts and said that all he heard for the past year was how bad he was and it’s curious how the perception of people changed when he landed in Brooklyn.

“For the last year, I have been hearing about how bad I was and then I come here and people say, ‘oh, it’s not fair.’ I guess you could say it’s amusing.”

This is undeniably true and even after he signed with the team, a lot of fans said the Nets weren’t getting anything valuable, calling Griffin ‘washed’ and more. The same was said about LaMarcus Aldridge, who couldn’t lead the San Antonio Spurs to compete in the West.

Plenty of people believe LMA was washed, too, and not even going to the Lakers was going to change his career. Now he’s part of the Nets and everybody went crazy about the 35-year-old joining them. It’s curious how things can change depending on where players play.

You can say this is unfair for the rest of the league but these players decided to take their talents to Brooklyn and as free agents, they can sign with whichever team they want.
