Marc Gasol isn’t having the best time with the Los Angeles Lakers and the way things are going for him on the court. The Spanish big man landed in Los Angeles seen as one of the best signings of the offseason, with a lot of people claiming this was the signing they need to win back-to-back titles.

Gasol went from having a terrific tenure with the Toronto Raptors and this move made a lot of sense for both parties. However, after a couple of months of competition, the Lakers were looking for another big man seeing how bad Gasol was playing. Well, that big man turned out to be Andre Drummond, who was bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers and found his way to L.A. a couple of days ago.

The former Memphis Grizzlies, Raptors player hasn’t enjoyed his time in Los Angeles after the arrival of Drummond. After the Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings, the player vented his frustrations, talking about his importance on the roster.

“I think there’s an ‘if’ — ‘if’ they need you. And it’s a big ‘if,'” Gasol said, via ESPN. “You’re not Plan A right now. You’re Plan C, D. … You have to accept it because that’s your job. And that’s what you sign up to do. It’s never easy to accept that.”

He was asked if he was pondering a buyout agreement with the team but he made it clear he’s ready to help the team with anything they need and he’s not changing his mind anytime soon.

“Things can change quickly in the NBA, just as they have changed for me,” Gasol said when asked if he wanted to stay with the Lakers or seek a buyout of his own. “But, I’m committed to this team. It’s a hard pill to swallow because I know I’m going to be out of the lineup at some point. It’s never easy on a player. As a basketball player, you want to play. You want to contribute, especially when you made that commitment for that reason. But, we’ll see.”

What started as a very good move for the Lakers has become a big problem for them. They are missing LeBron James and Anthony Davis right now and Drummond can be the piece they need to stay competitive while their star duo returns to action. However, Gasol isn’t happy with this situation and he let people know.
