Stephen A. Smith Blasts Nets Stars For Sitting Games: “LeBron James Is The Only Player Who’s Earned Time Off.”

2 Min Read

When it comes to the newest trends among the NBA community, the Brooklyn Nets have become rather famous for their extreme implementation of them. Besides the fact that they’ve teammates up three of the league’s top stars, all of their “big three” has missed time for seemingly no reason at all.

Whether it’s just for a day off, or “load management,” Kyrie, James Harden, and Kevin Durant regularly find themselves in and out of the lineup.

In light of today’s blockbuster matchup against the Sixers, many fans were hoping to get a peek into what might come in the postseason. Instead, many have expressed disappointment at the fact that both Durant, Harden, and several other important players would miss the game.

On Twitter, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith couldn’t help but rant, expressing major disappointment over players seemingly missing games for no real reason at all.

Of course, Harden was labeled as injured, so his absence is understandable. And we know that Kyrie actually did show up to play tonight.

Still, Stephen A.’s frustrations still stand. The fact that we never know which players are going to be available at any given moment for the Nets is really frustrating, especially for those of us who just want to watch them ball.

Unfortunately, it seems players are only being more empowered to take days off whenever they see fit.
