Tobias Harris is all set to enter the final year of his five-year $180 million contract signed in 2019. Since inking the deal, Harris has averaged 17.7 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 3.1 APG while shooting 49.0% from the field and 37.8% from downtown over 281 games.

Harris has certainly been consistent. But the Philadelphia 76ers’ fanbase is seemingly over him. The 30-year-old forward recently addressed how the fanbase would trade him for a Crumbl Cookie. The 76ers’ general manager, Daryl Morey, defended his star by trolling such casual fans. Morey posted an image while standing in front of a Crumbl Cookie store.

“@tobias31 had to check out the first @CrumblCookies store. Don’t worry Tobias, no casual fans in sight here,” Morey tweeted.

The 76ers fanbase may want Harris to be traded, but Morey’s gesture shows that he has complete trust in the 30-year-old. Harris is set to make $39,270,150 for the 2023-24 NBA season. Can he live up to his hefty salary? We will find out over the next few months.

The Philadelphia 76ers Are Adamant About Keeping Tobias Harris

After blowing a 3-2 lead against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Philadelphia 76ers are expected to make several changes to the team.

The dominoes started to fall with the firing of Doc Rivers. Rivers’ position was filled by former Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse. Many expected Harris to be traded next, but it seems like the 76ers are adamant about keeping him on the roster.

“The team has been adamant that it doesn’t intend to trade Harris at this time.”

The writing is seemingly on the wall, Harris will return to the team. Now, whether he gets another huge extension from the franchise or not, it will be answered in 2024 when Harris will become an unrestricted free agent.
