Dillon Brooks Took A Shot At Paul George: “Paul George Needs Illegal Screens To Get Open Against Me…”

The Memphis Grizzlies recently defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 120-108 behind a 28 point night from Ja Morant. The Western Conference will be competitive this year, and it was certainly a good win for the team.

After the win, Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks took the chance to take a shot at Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George. Brooks claimed that Paul George “needs illegal screens” to shake him off.

Paul George needs illegal screens to get open against me, cause I’m on him all night… He still had a solid night, he went 9-18, that’s what MVPs do. But I made his life challenging to get shots off, he’s complaining to the refs, he’s doing the extra stuff that he doesn’t do when you guys watch him when he’s playing against the rest of the league.

I just rise to the challenge, I watched so much film, and really studied what he wants to do… I take this stuff so serious, and I just try to get my teammates defensively ready.

As mentioned by Brooks, Paul George still had an efficient night that game, scoring 23 points, and getting 5 rebounds and 6 assists. However, Dillon Brooks lived up to his reputation as a great two-way player and did just enough to ensure the Grizzlies won against the Clippers. Brooks had a great showing in the playoffs last season, and it’s good to see him continue to play well.

With that being said, Paul George is still a player that can score at a high level, and perhaps we’ll see him have a more explosive scoring night against the Grizzlies the next time the Clippers face them.

The Memphis Grizzlies are a young up-and-coming team, and they will seek to make the playoffs once again this year. To win in the playoffs one needs to play solid defense, and they’re lucky to have a perimeter stopper like Dillon Brooks that is willing to guard the best players evey
