If you are talking about basketball, in one way or another the name of Michael Jordan will pop up in your head. MJ has an unmatched aura and an equally breathtaking career for most of us considering him the greatest basketball player of all time.

But what if, instead of Michael Jordan, fans chanted the name of Larry Jordan? Larry is MJ’s brother. And even Mike himself revealed that if his brother of 6’2, most people will remember Michael as Larry’s brother.

Unfortunately, Larry never made it as a professional basketball player. Despite that, he has played a huge role in the life and career of Michael Jordan. Recently a video on Twitter showcased interviews of the two brothers. In the video, Larry revealed:

“Seeing him perform on the court is like a part of me. I didn’t make it to play any big time college basketball, but I got the chance to follow him around and watch him do well and I’m happy. I probably taught him more than anything else, determination. I was determined that I wasn’t going to let this guy beat me until he grew a few inches and I really didn’t have any choice but to take a back seat.”

If Larry Jordan had grown a few more inches, it might have had a huge impact on the history of basketball. If Mike believes that Larry was so good that he regularly defeated him then that statement has a lot of weight in it.

We are aware of how big of a competitor that Jordan was during his career. Now imagine, if there was another Jordan in the NBA, it would have been a great sight to see.

But as things are, only one Jordan brother made it to the NBA and he is considered as the GOAT by most. After all, Mike has countless records to his name, with one being having the most perfect season in 1995-96.

As for Larry, the last known information about his work life was when he was part of management at the Charlotte Bobcats. But as of now, there is not much information about what Mike’s elder brother is up to.
