Dennis Rodman was one of the most charismatic stars in the history of the NBA. The 5-time NBA champion is still considered one of the most unique characters in the history of the league, because of wild unpredictability.
On the court, there was nothing unpredictable about Rodman’s game. He was a defensive enforcer and an excellent rebounder. He played a defensive ‘cleaner’ role on both his championship teams; the Pistons and the Bulls.
His performance and his reputation were never built around his offense. In fact, Rodman once went on a 2 game stretch where he scored 0 points but had a whopping 49 rebounds.
Rodman is a big proponent of the defensive side of the game, which is probably why he isn’t a fan of the modern NBA. When asked recently why he does not watch the games, he replied that he didn’t want to see players shooting the ball from such a far distance on such a regular basis.
His interviews with the media were always fun to watch because it was almost a guarantee that we would get a hilarious quote from him in response to a question from the reporters.
And that is exactly what we got when a reporter asked Rodman whether the chemistry within the Chicago Bulls was overrated during his stint there. He gave a hilarious response, explaining what chemistry was, incorrectly, but with a note of sarcasm that made it all the funnier.

Off the court, Rodman was an eccentric superstar. He would color his hair in bright, flashy colors, he had a different sense of fashion and would be out partying in the world quite a lot.
Rodman was one of the funniest players in the league during his time. In fact, Rodman even tried to get the #69 jersey when he was with the Mavericks, but the NBA banned it. Luckily, Mark Cuban still has that jersey in his office.
‘Rodzilla’s’ behavior off the court was also a magnet for the media. Rodman would often be in sports headlines, more so for his actions off the court than on it.
Because of this, he was considered a lightning rod for controversy and media attention. And given his hilarious responses to the media, there is no wonder why they always wanted a Dennis Rodman soundbite.
