Kyle Kuzma Likes The New NBA Rules: “The New Rules Changes To The Sport Are The Best Thing The League Has Done In Recent History”

Over the last few seasons, more and more players started to flop in the league. It not only ruins the fun of the game but also allowed many players to gain an unfair advantage. They would go down even at minimum contact and expect the refs to blow the whistle.

Evidently, the refs did blow the whistle, thus sending players to the free-throw line more often than not. James Harden and Trae Young were two of the biggest names that took advantage of lenient flopping rules up until the previous season. But since the new rules have taken place, players have stopped unnecessarily flopping.

As a result, free-throw numbers have plummeted for a lot of guys. While Young might have adjusted to the new rules, the Beard clearly hasn’t. His numbers have taken a serious hit and he is struggling to return to his old form.

Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma is definitely enjoying the rule change. He is having a great year for the team while playing his natural game. He tweeted about playing by these new rules and it was quite obvious that the 26-year-old is happy about them.

“The new rules changes to the sport are the best thing the league has done in recent history. Watching the game Is muuuuuch different.”

It is indeed different watching the game nowadays compared to the recent season. Not getting enough calls in their favor has forced players to dig deeper into their bags. Thus players are using great moves and pure skill to score points rather than just going to the charity stripe.

This is definitely an improvement over the last season for the league as a whole. Speaking of improvements over the last season, the Washington Wizards have surprised everyone with a 4-1 start to the season.

Last season, the team had a poor start of 0-5, but it appears they have gained a breath of fresh air this season. Trading Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers solidified their bench and supporting cast around Bradley Beal. But what is the ceiling for this team? As of now, it looks like they will comfortably book a playoff berth.
