Kevin Durant Reached 24,000 Career Points In 888th Game In The NBA, Same As Allen Iverson

Kevin Durant is one of the most gifted scorers in the history of the NBA. Through the course of his career, Durant has shown that he can score from any position on the court, making him one of the most dangerous players in the NBA on any given night.

Durant has had a lot of success during the course of his career, winning 2 NBA championships, 2 Finals MVP, a regular-season MVP, and multiple scoring championships. In fact, Durant is the youngest scoring champion in NBA history, leading the league in points-per-game at the age of 21.

Durant is one of the most decorated players in the league. But the fact that he is still in his prime is the most frightening prospect. Currently, he and James Harden are expected to lead the Nets to the NBA Finals, and they are considered one of the favorites to win the NBA championship.

Even without Kyrie Irving, who the Nets have removed from the team until he gets vaccinated, the Nets are considered the best team in the NBA. This speaks to the talent of Durant, and just how much faith the Nets have in him.

And Durant made a little personal history during the game against the Charlotte Hornets and had an eerily similar way of doing it compared to another NBA legend.

Against the Hornets, Durant’s 888th game in the NBA, he reached the 24,000 points mark for his career. Similarly, NBA legend Allen Iverson was able to reach the 24,000 mark in the same number of games, 888.

So far, the Nets have gotten off to a slow start. They currently have a 1-2 record in the NBA. Most of this has been attributed to James Harden’s poor form. Steve Nash believes that Harden has become a poster child for the NBA’s recent change in foul rules, something Durant doesn’t agree with.

Durant and Iverson are now linked together with this unique piece of history. And while Iverson is one of the best players in NBA history, Durant will hope that achieving this milestone in a similar fashion isn’t an omen for his championship aspirations.

Iverson was never able to win an NBA championship, and that is exactly what Kevin Durant is trying to do with the Nets this season.
