Steph Curry lit up the Chase Center during their home opener against the LA Clippers. Curry scored an incredible 45 points, while also handing out 10 assists to help the Warriors beat the Clippers 115-113.
Curry put on a performance that fans have gotten very used to seeing from him. Curry’s first game of the season was the exact opposite, as he had a poor shooting night, only scoring 20 points, but still notching a triple-double and helping the Warriors defeat the Los Angeles Lakers.
In fact, he even engaged in a game of one-upmanship with Paul George. The Clippers star challenged him to score a three-pointer from the logo, which Curry made him regret. By making the shot, Curry had reminded George how well he had been playing throughout the night.
One person who made some news during the game was Kendrick Perkins. Perkins put out a Tweet talking about Steph Curry, mentioning how jealous he was of him, and that he ‘couldn’t stand’ him because of how good he was.
I can’t stand that light skin dude with the green eyes!!! Low key I’m jealous. Carry on…

NBA fans were a little confused by Perkins’ comments, primarily because he was fixated on Steph’s appearance, most notably his eyes. Whereas others commented on how strange it was to see Perkins speaking somewhat positively about Curry, given their history of confronting each other.

Fans were thrilled to see Curry’s performance, noting how he looked incredible out there. He started the game really strong, scoring 25 points in the first quarter, and not missing a single shot during that run.
Curry’s 45-point showing against the Clippers was a statement of intent for him and the Warriors. Clearly, Curry is going to be a contender for the MVP this season, if he can continue the caliber of these performances, and if he can keep himself healthy for the course of the season.
