Rajon Rondo On Russell Westbrook’s Personality: “He’s A Funny Guy. We Have A Lot Of Things In Common.”

2 Min Read

Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo are ready to help LeBron James with his playmaking duties on the Los Angeles Lakers. This duo can bring a lot to the table as the Lakers get ready to face a new season where they’ll try to win the NBA title again.

These two were involved in controversies in the past, mainly after Russ exchanged some words with Rondo’s brother in the Orlando bubble. Ever since that moment, people believed these two had beef, but the 2x NBA champion put that in the past, saying he’s on a mission to win the championship and nothing else

Rondo doubled down on those comments during the Lakers media day, saying he had no beef with Russ and praising his competitiveness

“It wasn’t between Russell and me. It was actually with my brother. But, we’ve been competing for so long; he’s one of the ultimate competitors I’ve ever played against in my career. I love competing against Russ; I know he’s gonna bring it every night. I know he’s looking to destroy me. Likewise, I’m looking to destroy him. So, there’s no better feeling than playing against somebody who competes at the highest level and is always gonna bring it.”

As the days go by, Rondo has nothing but good things to say about his teammate. For instance, he talked about Brodie’s personality on Tuesday, revealing they had a lot in common and Russ was a fun guy.

“He’s a funny guy. We have a lot of things in common.”

Even though the Lakers aren’t having the best preseason, the team is confident they can get things done and fight for the championship next year. With Westbrook and Rondo, this team will have more than one option to lead the offense and get things flowing on the court.

In case anybody had doubts, Rondo buried that with his words, demonstrating that these Lakers only want to win the championship and nothing else.
