Kevin Durant Says He Hasn’t Overcome His Toe-On-The-Line Shot Against Milwaukee Bucks: “Definitely Wish I Was Behind The Line”

Kevin Durant is one of the best scorers in NBA history. The Brooklyn Nets superstar is considered the No. 1 player in the league, but he knows the job’s not done after a disappointing second-round exit in the 2021 playoff.

KD will start his second active season with the Nets, trying to lead the team to the promised land in a stacked Eastern Conference. The veteran had a big chance to take the team to the Finals last year, but he missed it by inches, connecting a long double instead of a triple in the last second of the East semis Game 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The new season will present big challenges for the Nets and KD, but he’s ready to face them. After missing that big chance against the eventual champions Bucks, he’s playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Talking on ESPN’s The Jump, Durantula revealed he’s not over his toe-on-the-line shot against PJ Tucker in the win-or-go-home game (1:19).

“Oh yeah, I do,” Durant told Malika Andrews. “Definitely wish I was behind the line, but you know it is what it is. There’s a great great series, a fun series to be a part of. And felt like a championship level series because they went on to win the title.”

The Nets were one of the favorites to win it all last season, but injuries and inconsistency prevented them from having a deep playoff run.

Now they’re looking for revenge, and if things go better than last year, this team will have the chance to play in the Finals with their Big 3. They are title favorites alongside the Bucks and Lakers, which will make things more interesting for them.
