NBA Fans Blast Kendrick Perkins For Putting Karl-Anthony Towns And Bam Adebayo Among Top 5 Power Forwards: “How TF Are You Still Employed”

2 Min Read

Kendrick Perkins isn’t strange to controversy. The 2008 NBA champion has become a living meme for his really hot takes on basketball. The big man isn’t afraid of speaking his mind, which has brought more problems than benefits for him.

Last season, he claimed Khris Middleton was the Batman of the Milwaukee Bucks only to change his mind and give that title to Giannis Antetokounmpo a couple of weeks later. Perk has always made these bold claims, and even though fans call him out for that, he doesn’t stop.

He recently picked his top 5 power forwards in the NBA ahead of the 2021/22 season, again raising a lot of eyebrows for his selections. Perkins selected Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Davis as the 1st and 2nd PFs in the association. Nothing wrong with this, but things took a different route after that.

He closed out the top five with Karl-Anthony Towns, Bam Adebayo, and Domantas Sabonis. These last three spots didn’t sit well with fans. Besides the fact that KAT and Adebayo are centers, fans considered he left other big names out.

Zion Williamson, Tobias Harris and Pascal Siakam were mentioned by fans who couldn’t believe he picked two centers for this list while leaving out other stars that have done great in recent years.

These lists, tops and rankings always bring controversy. When Kendrick Perkins does them, things get a lot worse. NBA fans are used to that, but they’re always ready to blast the former player-turned-analyst for his hot takes
