Ohm Youngmisuk Has Big Expectations For Paul George: “I Think We Could See MVP PG This Season.”

The Los Angeles Clippers were one of the clear-cut favorites to win the NBA Championship last season. They were stacked, talented, and well-coached.

But once again, the Clippers couldn’t get the job done. This time, however, it was injuries that took a toll on their chances of making it to the NBA Finals.

And even though people often give him a hard time for his well-documented meltdowns in the playoffs, Paul George was the Clippers’ best player in the postseason, especially after Kawhi Leonard went down.

That’s why NBA analyst Ohm Youngmisuk believes that Paul George’s best basketball could still be ahead of him, and even predicted that he could be an MVP candidate:

“He certainly played well enough to think he can carry this team without Kawhi Leonard. I think we could see MVP PG this season,” Youngmisuk told Marc J. Spears on ESPN’s The Jump.

Talent-wise, there’s no doubt that George could definitely be among the league’s top candidates to be the Most Valuable Player.

He’s a stud defensively and he can score efficiently from all three levels. Also, his playmaking skills have only gotten better throughout the years.

The biggest question mark for George will be whether he can be a consistent contributor throughout the year, and having Kawhi Leonard next to him could make people overlook his impact on the game.

But if Kawhi has another injury-riddled season and misses a lot of time with load management, we could expect George to put up some impressive numbers once again.

The Clippers will once again be one of the top teams out of the Western Conference and George will be fully healthy after two years of struggles with shoulder injuries.

So, maybe, that MVP PG prediction may not be that far-fetched as some of his doubters think.
