Alex Caruso Says He’ll Miss Throwing Lobs To LeBron James

Like many other teams, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a pretty eventful summer.

After being eliminated early in the West playoffs, President and GM Rob Pelinka decided to go out and make some moves. Since the start of free agency, he has brought in and traded for Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, and several others.

They also lost several players ass well, including Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma, Kentarvous Caldwell-Pope, and fan-favorite guard, Alex Caruso.

Regarding Caruso, specifically, his departure was especially tragic, as the Lakers (rather shockingly) decided not to even try bringing him back.

Still, the living legend had some nice things to say about his time with the Purple and Gold.

In a recent chat with the media, he made sure to let people know how great the experience was, and even mentioned how he’ll miss throwing up alleys to LeBron James.

Alex Caruso said he’ll never take experience of playing with LeBron James for granted.

And that he’ll miss throwing him lobs. “Hopefully me and Zach (LaVine) get on the same page.”

Alex Caruso wasn’t the Lakers’ best player, by any stretch. But he earned the respect from everyone in the league, from fans to his own teammates.

Even LeBron himself has said some pretty great things about the guy, rather cementing how great of a teammate he had been for the Lakers.

“His attention to detail. He’s just smart. Knows what we want him to do. Always in the right place at the right time. He just makes plays. Some in the box score, some don’t. (Tonight they did).”

In Los Angeles, Caruso was a hustler who gave his all on every single play. He always made the smart move, was always unselfish on the floor and performed his role with excellence almost every time.

And while signing a $37 million deal with the Chicago Bulls in free agency effectively ended his memorable run with the Lakers, his time there will not be easily forgotten.

Between the passes, lobs, and memes, the guy will forever be remembered as a Lakers legend, even in spite of the team deciding to let him go.
