Kyle Lowry On His First Game Back In Toronto: “I Know I’m Going To Cry.”

With Kyle Lowry’s tenure in Toronto officially over, he will be focused on trying to make the best of his new situation in Miami.

There, he, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo can get to work bringing another Championship to the lucrative franchise.

And while this next chapter of Lowry’s career is no doubt something to look forward to, a part of Lowry’s heart will always remain with the Raptors.

Speaking about when he’ll eventually play his first game there (for his new team), he admitted it will be a highly emotional moment.

“I’m not looking forward to that first game back (in Toronto) because I know I’m going to get a tribute and I know I’m going to cry.”

Lowry’s move to Miami makes a lot of sense. During this last leg of a storied career, Lowry will get another chance to compete at the highest level — and with one of the most respected franchises in the NBA.

But after spending so much time with the Raptors, and leading them through an era of greatness, it’s easy to see why there would be so much emotions about leaving them behind.

No doubt, it will be quite the reunion when Lowry returns to Toronto for the first time in a different jersey.
