NBA Rumors: New York Knicks Could Sign Lonzo Ball In 2021 Free Agency

New York Post

Lonzo Ball got off to a rather slow start for his NBA career. His first two seasons with the Lakers were rather underwhelming for a No. 2 draft pick, and nobody was sure how far his game would develop.

In the two years since, ‘Zo has emerged as a quality guard in this league, and one that’s on the radar for virtually every team with cap space this offseason.

One such team could include the New York Knicks, according to “AHN Fire Digital“:

According to a source, the New York Knicks and point guard Lonzo Ball have “mutual interest” in a contract this summer. The source also said that the Knicks are not intimated by the fact that Ball is a restricted free agent.

In New York, he would play alongside RJ Barrett in the backcourt, forming a rather potent duo next to first-time All-Star, Julius Randle.

But with so many factors at play this summer, there’s really no way to say for certain where Ball will be playing by the start of next season. We’ll just have to wait and see…
