After Kevin Durant put up a show in the Brooklyn Nets’ 114-108 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, it was time for Steve Nash to steal the spotlight and give us one of the funniest moments of the 2021 NBA playoffs.
The Canadian head coach was really proud of his player after the latter posted 49 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. When the game finished, he congratulated Durant for his big game, hugging him as if his life depended on that.
NBA fans caught the moment in pics that later went viral. The community reacted to Nash’s wholesome moment with the 2x NBA champion. Some joked about the 2x NBA MVP thinking his job and legacy were on the line.

All of yall saying he was hugging him because he saved his job. He was hugging him because he was front row to one of the single greatest solo performances of ALL-TIME. I would hug him too for putting on one of the most clutchest Playoff performances ever.

Fortunately, KD saved them, creating this reaction from Nash. According to Redditor “DancingCactius,” Durant had the 3rd best game score in NBA playoff history with a 50.4 game score.
With tonight’s monster game by Kevin Durant, in which he posted a 50.4 game score, Durant now has the 3rd best game score in a single game in NBA Playoff history.
Here are the other top games: Damian Lillard (55.90) versus the Nuggets in the 2021 playoffs and Charles Barkley (52.60) against the Warriors in the 1994 playoffs.
The Nets are now 3-2 up in this series. Durant hopes to keep the good pace at the Fiserv Forum to finish the job and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
